133 cards to discover and observe the environment. Designed for explorers of all ages, Nature is an educational tool that encourages a curious, conscious, and responsible perspective on biodiversity, fostering interest and active participation.
The cards, divided into six categories (Action, Element, Tool, Perspective, Element Question, Environment Question), can be used independently or as part of educational activities, either individually or in groups, at home or at school… preferably outdoors! There are no rules, no winners or losers: the goal is to learn to observe more closely the world we are a part of. There are no rules, no winners or losers: the goal is to learn to observe the world we are part of more attentively.
Through ever-changing combinations and pathways, the cards create opportunities to observe, recognize, experience, and document biodiversity firsthand, building a more authentic relationship with nature and learning how to care for and value it.
The cards are the result of the work of the BEAT research group – Biodiversity Education and Awareness Team – at the University of Milano-Bicocca, composed of Monica Guerra, Andrea Galimberti, Letizia Luini, Greta Persico, Angela Rinaldi, and Francesca Rota, with the participation of Rosa Buonanno and Angela Sangalli. They are enriched by the scientific yet poetic illustrations of Giulia Vetri, who brings to life plants, animals, and landscapes.
